A blog from when we were in Görlitz.

From Quedlinburg we drove a couple hundred miles to Görlitz, a beautiful German city on the Polish border.

Our hotel, the "Dreibeiniger Hund" or "Three Legged Dog".

The Rathaus.

Looking up the street from our hotel.

The lower square or "Untermarkt".

Across the same square.

Enjoying a cup of Capacino and the nice weather.

Dick and the young fellow who brought our computer back from the dead.

On a Thursday we drove across the river into Poland. During a brief walk we encountered a wedding party on the sidewalk. These ladies were not members of the wedding party -- fancy dressers.

Lively entertainment as we waited for the bride to appear. Many other people had gathered on the street to watch. Others watched from upper story apartments across the street.

Margaret is practicing this "mother of the bride" look.
