A blog from when we were in Görlitz.
From Quedlinburg we drove a couple hundred miles to Görlitz, a beautiful German city on the Polish border.

The Rathaus. |

The lower square or "Untermarkt". |

On a Thursday we drove across the river into Poland. During a brief walk we encountered a wedding party on the sidewalk. These ladies were not members of the wedding party -- fancy dressers. |
|
Lively entertainment as we waited for the bride to appear. Many other people had gathered on the street to watch. Others watched from upper story apartments across the street. |

Margaret is practicing this "mother of the bride" look. |
